Doncaster College East were the first to offer help & Ash Hill Academy have already agreed to offer us space as many of their students come from Stainforth’s feeder schools.,
We also hope to work with The Children’s Centre, The Family Centre, the Youth Centre, Nurseries, Primary Schools, Doncaster East Development Trust etc.
We offer a range of learning activities which will be non academic, this will involve crafts and activities were people can make, alter or create things. This will be designed to help people save money by making or altering clothes, making furnishings & items for the home & garden, planning healthy nutritious meals. The focus of the activities will also not only be about making things and being creative, it will be designed to give people confidence and self esteem.
‘This is a project by a voluntary organisation in Doncaster. The organisation will use the funding to provide non academic learning activities including clothes making, crafts and healthy eating on a budget to disadvantaged members of the community. This will enable beneficiaries to have increased aspirations and skills helping to improve confidence and self esteem. Sessional tutors, sewing machines, materials and publicity.
